hello I’m a Tony solo I’m an automotive instructor here at Worcester tech I’m glad I have this opportunity to talk a little bit about my program I feel my program is one of the programs that can become miscategorized in in what everybody thinks it is and what it really is our automotive technology program is a training program it’s an accredited program that carries a national accreditation from the National automotive technicians Education Foundation and it is certified to train students in five different areas of automotive repair in which those students can then earn these certificates that are good for college credit are also good for industry to get jobs with the five certifications are electrical steering and suspension brakes maintenance and light repair and OSHA certified in automotive workplace safety what is the automotive technology program and what do we teach in it in those programs what’s the most important I would say would be problem solved procedural practice Diagnostics problem solving technical training are all things that we go over here you know then that the problem-solving ability you’re gonna have to have good deductive reasoning and problem-solving in general to get ahead in this industry you
