When This Happens, Your Engine is Screwed

rev up your engines speed card says how do I remove milky oil from my engine after a
flood you got milky you got water
now you want to drain it all up but you
don’t want to get water in there in the
first place take out the air filter if
it’s wet
don’t even start the vehicle take it out
immediately drain all water take all the
spark plugs out after your drain do a
lot put new oil filter in then with the
spark plugs out of the holes of the
engine crank it over so if there’s water
in the engine you won’t damage the thing
you’ll suck it in then it’ll throw out
the spark plug holes and if you see a
bunch of water coming out do that four
or five times to get all the water out
then let it air dry then put the spark
plugs in and try to start you never want
to start a car if it’s got water in the
oil from a flood now if you have Milky
oil in your engine and you didn’t go
through a flood say you’re in Phoenix
and it hasn’t flooded then you probably
got blown head gasket you’re gonna have
to rebuild the engine that’s just the
way that goes that’s the only way you
can really get water in there, Nick s
said I’m thinking about buying a
Chrysler well my advice is first see a
psychiatrist because you may be going
insane they make some of the worst
products in the world now if you really
want to get a Chrysler yeah go back and
get a 60s or early
seventies when they were pretty well
made sure they were gas hogs but they
were pretty well made and they might
last quite some time the modern stuff
since Fiat bought them it’s just absolute
garbage do not waste your money on one
of those things you won’t regret it I
don’t have a single customer in the last
20 years that bought a Chrysler they
never bought another Chrysler didn’t
matter if it was Chrysler didn’t matter
if it was older Chrysler and
certainly not now that’s Fiat Chrysler
william says hey Scotty does lexus
have as good of an all-wheel drive
system is Subaru well Subaru actually
has the best all-wheel-drive system out
there for the money I mean you can get
into the German stuff Volkswagen owns
Porsche Audi and they’ve got some real
swanky systems of course they’re endless
money pits as they age but subaru
really is into all-wheel drive all
their vehicles are all-wheel drive except
for that a little racecar one that they
make, Lexus don’t have problems with the
all-wheel drive systems I don’t have any
customers have them breaking down it but
in terms of time and proven ability
blasting and not breaking down Subaru
really makes the best all-wheel drive
systems because that’s all they ever met
but don’t watch this is our junk or
anything it’s just that Subarus we’re
making it for longer and they perfected them, I still wouldn’t buy a subaru, I could care less
about all-wheel drive I’m in Texas it
rains here doesn’t really snow so I have
to worry about that,
Xavier Ananda 67 says thoughts on Ford
Ranger older ones the older ones could
be great vehicles you’ll get a little
4 cylinder one or one with a big
v6 engine and they can last a really
long time the one thing that the weakest
point on those vehicles that are
automatic transmissions so if you’re
talking about a standard transmission
well since they run forever if it isn’t
automatic and you’re looking at one you
want to make sure it shifts right then you
want to make sure a mechanic like me
checks it out and tell them you you want
the automatic transmission checked out
with a fine-tooth comb then we can do
some tests with my scan tools and give
it a good drive and then see we check
the transmission it’s cuz that’s the
weak link I knows if they’re automatic
but they’re standard you don’t care
those things are pretty much bulletproof,
junior says Scotty is Ford’s 3.5
EcoBoost hom the Ford Raptor a good
long-term engine 10 plus years I would
not buy one for the long term they get
better gas mileage more power but in the
long run know in the long run you’re
better off buying a v8 engine for that
adding all that stuff on its gonna
wear the engine out faster you’re better
off with the plain old v8 with regular
fuel injection then all that crap added
on top of it that’s just how it goes all
this high-tech stuff eventually it’s
gonna break and if you own it you gotta
fix it it’s gonna cost a ton of money
when it gets to be over 10 years old
especially if you put a lot of my say
put twenty thousand miles a year and you’re talking two hundred thousand miles
you’re gonna get some real expensive
repairs where I’ve seen v8 just plain
old fuel injected to three hundred
thousand miles the engines and the Fords
are still running fine with the old
v8one of those, cruze says I got04 Chevy Avalanche service 4-wheel
Drive what could it be when a service
four-wheel drive light comes on that
means that your computer has tripped a
code that there’s a problem in the
four-wheel drive system so you gotta
find at least a guy like me that’s got a
scan tool that’s at least as good as the
best one I have and you plug it in and
you start analyzed
you can’t do that stuff without high
level scan tool it can be a switch is
bad it can be
motor on a transfer case is bad it can
be all kinds of things you can’t guess
with that you got to get a mechanic like
me that has the equipment knowledge
most guys charge ninety hundred dollar
check out fee for trying it go to
somebody like that haven’t check out and
see what they tell you because
they’re so complicated you can’t guess
on that stuff that’s just foolish to
guess, austin says Scotty what size wrenches do I need for a Honda well
they’re all metric so get us out of
metric wrenches commonly they use 10
millimeter 12 millimeter 14s 17
millimeter those are the common ones but
get a whole set you know I mean all
Japanese stuff is metric so he did
metric tools it’s not that like in the
olden days when the Americans had
English and then they had some English
and some metric now they’re mainly
metric the Japanese have always been
metric so just get us good set of metric
wrenches decide how much work you want to do how far you want to go do you want
to buy real top-end tools or you know
even the tools and autos on those
Duralast they’re decent those may give
you a lifetime warranty you might just
look for stuff from them, so if you never
want to miss another one of my new car
repair videos, remember to ring that
Bell
