the National Learning Center in Milton Keynes is the home of all things related to training development for the stuff out in the network there are 23,000 people right across Volkswagen Group in the UK and all of their training and development needs are cared for at the NLC the learning development of our network he’s absolutely key whether that’s customer satisfaction the number of cars we sell the number of parts that we sell they have to be sold in the right way so the people that we train have to have the right knowledge they have to have the right approach they need to know how to deal with customers so they keep coming back to us again and again the capacity at the NLC is up to 2,000 people per week that’s made up of all people having assessments technical training it could be refresher training it could be health and safety people management commercial skills finance the whole breadth of skills that are required to run any particular dealership amongst those are a thousand apprentices across three different years and we can see them for up to 18 weeks of the year where they have intensive training at the NLC the quality of the train is always above and beyond what you’d expect the facilities here the workshops that they give us brilliant with all the tools here you could ever need everything you could ever want is here you’re learning in the best environment you could learn it I think a lot of the time there the preconception of a training courses it’s very interesting you’re going to be sitting and maybe writing but there’s a lot of group activities or different performances the trainer’s do work hard to actually get a lot out of what you’re doing so that you can get a lot out of the course really gives me great customer experience here and also get a lot of technical knowledge you get mixed practicals so Tech 4 non tech is called down here it’s quite interesting so because I’m not actually working on cars but yeah I need to know the insight of them get to know that so knowledge as well wasn’t down here so it was really great I did role plays first which I wasn’t looking forward to but actually we’re really good everyone’s been really helpful I actually felt really comfortable with the role plays and it’s a really good experience you know she’s a brilliant resource for us to have the facilities we have seconds none the delegates find it amazing they always talk about everything from the restaurant to the training classes to the people so is a brilliant place to work these guys are coming from all over the country and you know staying away for four or five days as well as the apprentices are staying up from home for the whole week so Katy ferocity is very very important it’s about giving the delegates the wow factor hopefully we are doing that for them the NLCS definitely where it needs to be they’re building technicians that the brown expects and I’ll see it goes beyond technicians as well there’s courses here for pilot advisors managers front of house so they’re making every single business out there to where Volkswagen needed it to be to be able to come to somewhere as beginners and you know the knowledge of where’s the national learning center really does help to sort of give you the information that you need is something that’s really full of life there’s a lot going on and they’re constantly developing the courses as well to make sure that you’re getting as much as you can out of it really nothing quite much is the NLC the throughputs of the people the quality of the training the facilities themselves are all second to none the quality of everything that we do is amazing and everybody loves it the facility is absolutely first-class
