VB.NET Tutorial – Generate QR Code | FoxLearn

Welcome to FoxLearn
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to generate a QR Code in Visual Basic .NET using the QR Coder library
Drag a Button, Label, TextBox, and PictureBox controls from the visual toolbox to your windows forms application
then design a simple UI that allows you to create a QR Code
As you know, QR code is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode first designed in 1994 for the automotive industry in Japan
A QR code consists of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background
which can be read by an imaging device such as a camera, and processed using Reed-Solomon error correction until the image can be appropriately interpreted
The required data is then extracted from patterns that are present in both horizontal and vertical components of the image
Nowadays, QR codes have become one of the most-used types of two-dimensional code.
Right-click on your project, then select Manage Nuget Packages
Next, You need to install the QR Coder library
QR Coder is a simple library, written in c-sharp .NET, which enables you to create QR codes
It hasn’t any dependencies to other libraries and is available as .NET Framework and .NET Core
You can use the QR Code Generator class to generate a QR Code from a string, then export it to a PictureBox control or save it to an image file
