[Music] well uh my resume is pretty quick first three years was a custom painter for Anaheim vans here in Houston then I worked at a Datsun dealership that’s how long ago it really was that Datsuns were still on the road moved to Mercedes for 20 years and then owned a shop for about three years well I was an art major in college and there was a custom van shop around the corner with all the pretty colors and artwork this is in the 70s when everybody owned a van actually I started there doing the shag carpet because I’d never painted a car six months later I was a custom painter but it was the art I was a sign painter to all kinds of things going on in my life but that’s how I got started but it when you when you find a way to express your art and make money cars people like cars shiny metal boxes so I’ve been making shiny metal boxes for about thirty years and now I’ve been working on students the last fourteen well the passion really gets turned on when somebody asked me to do a custom paint job work till 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning without even thinking that weird o’clock though or money most of my jobs I got hired without even asking what price I usually was more like when I got hired at Mercedes it was more like wow I got the job I was only like 25 years old and I was already a painter at a mercedes-benz dealership so I was real excited just to be there and when I got on my wife says well how much are you making I forgot to ask he didn’t I said but I got the job I got the job and it was sort of like here when I got the job teaching I wanted to was an art major in college to be a teacher 30 years later opportunity arose to go be a teacher so here I am [Music] [Applause] [Music]
