hi I’m Bob Cooper and I’m Doris barns and we’re with a late worldwide and as a company we probably trained more advisors and all the other companies combined so if you want to close more sales especially with those really tough anxious first-time customers then here’s a tip brought to you by the good people at jasper and but we’re gonna roleplay this for them aren’t we we’re going to show them just how easy this is gonna be to accomplish that’s gonna be the plan are you gonna be the advisor you’re gonna be the customer you know what I’ll be the customer oh cool Doris I’m ready if you are okay okay guys and gals watch how easy this is to do hey George I know that when you brought your vehicle in this morning and we went ahead and we completed the inspection and I know that when you brought your vehicle in this morning there are a couple things we’re concerned about tell me if I’m missing something here all right one you’re concerned about the fact that when you would pull it in gear it felt like it would there was a little bit of a hesitation is that right yes mm-hmm okay and also you said when you’re going up a hill like it was slipping a little bit felt like it was just not going away that it needed to go is that right yeah exactly okay and you also said you needed to be out of here and ideally you’d have your vehicle back by the weekend something about a birthday party did I miss something here yeah yeah we’re celebrating my son’s birthday party this weekend so if we could have it back in time that would be really great well you got to be company I have to ask how many kids do you have two boys girls boy and a girl oh what a lucky gal you are what a lucky gal well I got some really great news for you I really do first of all we’re gonna be able to solve the problem with your van and number two we’re gonna be able to have you back and rode in a timely way so you’ll make the party oh good okay great well let’s do this let’s take a look at the technicians report by the way the technician that inspected your automobile is his name is Joe Marconi and this fella is very gifted at what he does he’s been with us for if I had to guess 13 or 14 years he’s an ASE master certified technician trains a lot of other texts in the industry writes a lot of articles very good at what he does and this is actually his report so let’s take a look at it all right okay sure okay guys and gals a lot just happened huh Doris it sure did we hope you guys picked up on what we just did there and that was showing you the importance of selling your technician to your customers yeah and that doesn’t mean selling them by putting them on Craigslist or whatever but it means helping the customer feel very comfortable that they got the right guy or gal working on our automobile because when you do that what it’s going to do is it’s going to lower their anxiety you already know that your heart rates going a thousand miles an hour right doors yeah most definitely it really does help to put them at ease the fact that they’re in the right place with the right people in addition to that this really helps to build value in your services um and I think you guys can see how that’s truly going to take place they’re gonna realize you guys are the best at what you do and those services are gonna hold a lot more weight boy great message dorsen also sort of takes them out of that competitive world huh like if that customer wants to go down the street and have somebody else take a look easy at their car at least they’re not going to get that gifted technician Joe Marconi are they oh man you cannot can I’ll compete against people every single day of the week I hope you guys feel the same way that we do so that is a really really important point there that Bob just made and next guys there is another reason why this is so powerful and this has more to do with shop morale and the feel in your shop and culture and all those things this improves more out um imagine your technicians hearing you do this on a regular basis and talking about how gifted they are and how proud you are of having them a part of your team this is going to spread like wildfire through the shop and create a really special culture well what a great message door swell doors I have another question for you alright whenever we’re selling any kind of an auto repair there’s always for sales that have to take place is that right yes and what’s the first one the first one is you have to sell yourself mmm first things first every single time and you’ve probably all heard that before but that is so true isn’t it so the first sale is sell yourself mmm the second sale is gonna be to sell the technician just as you heard us do mmm the third sale guys will be to take a minute and sell the vehicle if that vehicle is worth investing in from your perspective and let the customer know that and we won’t spend a ton of time there but just understand that that’s something that you’re going to want to try to do hmm and then the fourth sale in the forced sale will be to sell the repairs that are needed on the vehicle so in all cases what we always need to be doing and tell me if I’m missing something is always sell ourselves first sell the customer on the technician secondly third thing that we need to do is sell them on the value of their automobile and the last thing that we sell not the first is sell them on a repair you got it safe to say safe to say well look guys and gals I hope the disk tip met with your expectation and I’ll make it promise all right if you
