Testing and automotive fuse from old style car fuse box

all right so hi this is Morris Rosenthal for if at jans.com it’s just a view of a fairly standard fuse box on a car it’s in my older 1986 Dodge Omni you’ll see there’s plenty of slots that are empty because I don’t have all the options and right next to the fuse box or the blinkers now in this case I’m gonna pull out this easy to get it 20 amp fuse in the corner it happens to be for the wipers and the squirter motor for the wipers and we’re gonna test it so we move the camera and now I have this fuse just sitting on top of my multimeter which is on the continuity set setting and all I’m gonna do is touch the two leads of the fuse with the two leads of my meter and that means that the fuse is good now you can also inspect these fuses visually you can see actually see in between there if the camera is doing a good job the little metal that will burn and break if the fuse overloads but it’s really better to check with the meter if you can because you never know whether or not the connection might just have broken so I’m gonna put that fuse away and I hope you visit if it jams kampf or other electrical troubleshooting
