and we used to refer to it as Mary calling around for a Larry and we all know what that’s like whether it be Larry calling from Mary Mary calling for Larry mom calling for a husband whatever it is dad calling for grandpa we all know what that’s like when you get somebody else on the other end of the phone and all that you’re looking for is a price and they tell you that they don’t have the automobile with them well one of the things you always need to do is you always need to follow your phone procedure go under the presumption that they have the automobile and they could bring it in when they tell you look I just don’t have the vehicle I can’t bring it in my husband or wife has the automobile today and I’m just calling around for price what you need to do is take a completely different approach than all your competitors we’re gonna show you just how easy it is I got a handy-dandy phone right here I got mine yours is gonna be my handy dandy customer and watch how easy this is you’re ready Doris I’m ready well look Doris I gotta tell you if you called 10 different shops today you’re probably gonna get about 12 different prices so do you have a pen and a pad something to make some notes on doors yeah actually I do okay well look what I’d love to be able to do is give you some questions you might want to ask these guys and gals when you’re calling around first thing I’d encourage you to ask him is how long have they been in business okay that’s a good ok good Doris another one that you might want to ask them is whether or not they have certified technicians that work at their shop oh yeah yeah I can see how that’s pretty darn important it certainly is Dorson you know on that note one of the other questions you might want to ask him is are they approved by Triple A mmm okay yeah yeah for sure yeah and when you have them on the phone doors please don’t forget you need to ask them how do you go about diagnosing automobiles do you always look for options that you’re able to provide every one of the customers that you have now what kind of warranties do you provide to their customers oh yeah I definitely want to know that okay how they diagnose doors whether or not they offer options and what kind of warranties they provide warranties in doors in case of your one I’m pleased to tell you we’ve been serving San Diego County now he lead out of customer on you so that even when they get off the phone they go home you’ve given them a lot of different things to think about they’re gonna call other shops they probably will because that’s what they’re doing but what they’re gonna start doing is they’re gonna actually ask these other shops these questions now and you can only imagine what’s gonna happen at shops gonna be a little caught off guard and well they might have the right answers to some of those more than likely they might not to all of them and at the end of the day she’s gonna remember you she’s gonna go home she’s gonna talk to her husband and darn it they’ll probably be right back on your doorstep because of how helpful and wonderful you were and helping her to see what it means to choose the right shop and the right
