How to Automotive Product Review of ALLDATA – OEM Repair Information for Automotive Repair

hi I’m Brian essa from how to automotive today I wanted to do a little demonstration or a little product review of a service that we use at the shop it’s called all data and we use it to supply all the information we need to fix car without this we’d be pretty lost we have we use this for everything from looking up labor times to tracking down wiring diagrams so torque specs you name it we use this is so handy and uh it’s a subscription-based service so that you would log on to all data and they would have a security code that you would enter in and then uh once you’re here access their database the first thing you would do is you would enter the year make model of a car so you find a your year and you would enter in let’s say we’re gonna work on a Toyota here so you click on a Toyota if you want to work on a Camry Camry select your engine size these you can go to heating heating and air conditioning engine and electrical brakes engine controls and so on and so on and also they also have technical service bulletins so you can look up the latest technical service bulletins on a particular vehicle so you can look them all up or you can break them down so these are actually factory recalls they were sent to the dealers and that they’re great and handy so you can when customers cars come in you could look them up yourself and you know if something’s covered you know you it’s great to pass that information on to the customer a couple of things that this this service supplies or you can do with this is uh so we can click out of here you just go into the search box and you can type in anything so so so we head gasket so you can click in that and it’s gonna take you to cylinder head assemblies head bolt head gasket and uh so this in this case it’s got a labor time so you can look up the labor time so I hate gasket on a on a 2005 Camry with the two point four is basically ten hours laborer nine point eight hours of labor time so you can use it for looking up Labor’s you can you can look it up for torque specs of removal and replace so it’s going to walk you through the steps of removing you know they hate gas since the exhaust manifolds all that stuff so as you can see it’s very very handy for for a shop to have one of the other cool features is uh is you know is a diagram so you can that you can break them down that’s the entire cylinder head and everything in it you know you can use it for electrical work so you can pick diagrams and you can go to electrical diagrams and then you can kind of break down what you’re looking on a horn a heater or whatever your look working on and a charging system so you can click on it and there’s the wiring diagrams and you can get rid of detailed these you can get pin values all that stuff is it’s all stored in this and it’s updated regularly so if you guys are thinking about getting a subscription-based service for your shop for information I highly recommend all data I have used Mitchell and demand that’s a pretty cool product too and uh but I found all data to be a little easier to to navigate and get through and then also you can call him up and get service you can get help 24 hours a day seven days a week that is available and it’s a great great tool to have i’m brian esse from how to automotive i like to thank you guys for watching my videos encourage you to subscribe and invite you to head over to the how to automotive dot-com website for more valuable videos like this thank you again
