Faster Forward: TU-Automotive Detroit 2019 Preview

– There’s a major gathering of the people driving auto tech innovation
next week in Detroit and Faster Forward will
be there to cover it. (music) It’s called TU Auto
and it’s the main event for the North American
market for the event series and TU Auto Digital and
we’re gonna be joined there with over 3,000 attendees
from the automakers, from people all across
the mobility ecosystem. And we’ve got people from
Ford, GM, the major OEMs, we’re got people from
Uber and we’ve got some emerging companies that
are working on auto tech in ways that are transforming
the way we’ll all get around. One of the things that we’re excited about is to continue having conversations about the things that we’ve
been covering on this series. That includes the developing
mobility ecosystem, new technologies, the
way that user interface inside of the car is transforming,
growing, and changing. We’ll be talking about data monetization, which is a key issue, and is something that’s really top of mind for a lot of the people
in this space right now. Paul Myles, the editor
of TU, will be there on site, writing an ebook. We’ll have Steve Bell from Heavy Reading who’s one of our top auto tech analysts who’s gonna be running the
second day of content at TU and we’ll even be in
touch with some people from WardsAuto and Wards Intelligence which is part of the
overall Informa Tech family. We’re also going on a field trip. The American Center for Mobility has a test track in the Detroit area. It has a two and a half mile highway loop, it has overpasses, triple overpasses, and this is where the car manufacturers can come, test their cars,
and this is where the autonomous cars of the
future are gonna be tested. We’re gonna get a preview into the mobility ecosystem of the future. Next week, TU Auto in Novi, Michigan. See you there. (music)
