Do you really want to become a Auto technician or mechanic?

Hilary buddy actually asked me about gaming advice you know if they should become an auto mechanic and my advice is no for several reasons yes the primary would be the flat rate system there are some mechanics well the flat rate system and the politics and the chemicals and on and on you know there’s so many negatives it’s hard to figure where to start the first problem is flat rate you know if you last a place of that work that they both went out of business there you know you go into the day you know and they only have it to our job and that’s all you get you know when you work two hours and you get nothing for the other thing that happens is you may get a job that pays you uh floors they may take you the first time you know eight twelve hours and I’ve done that before you don’t get paid and don’t make a mistake you make a mistake you know the jobs coming back and you do for free well how many jobs you know that do that now and I before I decided quit that car business uh I applied for a couple of jobs and my master Tecna Dennis in 1979 and there’s one one place had the nerve to say well okay I’ll start you off the total dollars an hour okay yeah they tell me you’re kidding me so I’ve been thirty thousand dollars with the tools and you want to pay me 12 bucks an hour you know that’d be stupid to do that perhaps you might as well just go work at a fast food place you know that we’re about thing okay I’m gonna make $10 now anyways then you’re not good lugging your tools you know it’s bunch of crap so that’s no more and then also the backstabbing was technicians you never guys trying to outdo one another I’ll think of their hot what could they spin wrenches on some tin box yeah you know so what just a car it’s just a metal box and cheap metal box that you know you know there’s bad things they can do and then also the chemicals that you exposed yourself to the brake cleans and the parks cleaning solutions and shops that I worked out but they were not he not air-conditioned 105 you could work it on a five it’s freezing outside you’re freezing you know and last shop don’t mention names there’s no legal issue but that poor lighting the guys have to run around with a miner’s hat so they can see basically this term in the shop the darkness and you know that was a ever there was one yeah in the boss of the wire it’s just common you’re under that you know managers of fly you know corporate politics whatever lying that you may be working them yeah I know there’s more negatives then you the other thing is if you like cars you won’t after 10-15 years yeah despise them so if you like your car just do it as a hobby because after you’re done you won’t like them anymore yeah nothing else advice they can give you but if you can get in a decent job you know the family-run shop and they pay you an hour you know you take your time do a good job it’s not so bad then but still you’ll have to come up with your tools I used to work and I’ve actually worked in Germany for a major I thought let’s keep teasing yeah paper an hourly wage there’s nothing just where you come in all day and you get only go to our job and that’s like it no they didn’t I pay Jim the whole day he was there closer you get your own month paid vacation so working in German was good and I worked in the white that was pretty decent too you know when we got two weeks make a button you know at least it was hardly even in shop then it’s not so bad you know that most plays are not that look you know shop some of that good and so that’s my basic advice you know it’s not worth it you know do something else unless you work for a really good place most of them are not I think we all saying you for information the biggest thing is politics the backstabbing from your fellow technicians they expensive tools the poor working environment you know stunned I’ve been to or crap you know and the stupid politics of backstabbing you know one place I worked at was one technician and he went to match and told them you know talk about me said you know it’s kind of slowly he’s you know doing this faster or whatever in magic you know to me and you know one of the guys is talking about you behind your back and that’s a long blue is it yeah I’m not gonna tell you but that’s what you said no you know that’s the typical thing you know backstab you know if somebody else is doing job it’s none of your business you know what they’re gonna let them do it their way what they’re doing is none of my business either yeah stupid yeah yeah that’s just niches especially I was going to work on the East Coast listen it just of worth one in the in the group you never snitched you know something like this is affecting you personally what they’re doing up there doing the job they Malone that’s no backstabbing yes no no try to get along yeah and if you do go in the line of work good luck to you okay
