BIMS 2019: 40th Bangkok International Motor Show – Feature

Sawasdee Krub! This is Brent Co from AutoIndustriya.com and welcome to Thailand! We’re here at the 2019 Bangkok
International Motor Show The largest automotive show in the Southeast Asian region Now on its 40th edition, the show serves as a launch pad for many new automobiles in the region In fact, some of the cars debuted here will
usually be launched in the Philippines soon after There are 33 automotive brands present
occupying all three halls of the impact Challenger Just to give you an idea, the World Trade Center in Metro Manila has about 16,500 sqm of floor space Challenger is about ten times that
at 160,000 square meters So, we’ve got a lot of ground cover but thankfully I’ve got comfortable shoes on and I’ll be your guide as we tour this massive
auto show. Let’s get walking The showstopper so far has to be this
the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro I mean, just look at it! I don’t even have words to describe it Thailand is pickup country and this
Mitsubishi Triton (or Strada for us) is an Absolute brute. It looks like they
sent it to the gym and gave it some serious steroids Now, it’s just a kitted version of the pickup
but we hope they make it happen Honda still believes in the midsize
sedan this new Accord can’t be more obvious It looks more elegant if not a bit subdued With the promise of an engaging drive, the version here comes with a 1.5L turbo as the Civic RS and also a hybrid mill The Porsche display is definitely one of
the most exciting to visit at the show Because check it out it’s the all-new 911. From the front,
it looks like a mild evolution of the original 911 But wait till you see the back
looks pretty cool, huh? Chevrolet has finally come up with an all-new Captiva. This Baojun-based crossover wants to go against the likes of the CR-V, RAV-4 and Tucson I think we’ll see this on the roads pretty soon Toyota has really been hyping up the Supra
A revival of the 90’s Japanese sports car that competed with the Honda
NSX and the Nissan Skyline GTR Now this new model hopes to bring back that name.
Though this time it’s been co-developed with BMW and made in Austria Over here at the BMW stand we find the
regional debuts of the X7 SUV And the Z4 Roadster, the Supra’s top down cousin So many cars, so little time that’s a
reality of a Motor Show as big as this Right Dr. Prachin? But Bangkok, as always, is an eye opener
showcasing the future of motoring in the region After years of seeing futuristic concepts It’s refreshing to find that car makers
haven’t forgotten about the fun of driving Particularly, the many new sports cars, pumped-up
trucks and other enjoyable vehicles on display If you liked this video, click on subscribe.
