Automotive Technology Program

Automotive Technology Program

I decided to enroll in the Automotive
Program because I’ve always had
a passion for vehicles, engines, how they
run, their power trains and I wanted to go
further in depth into it and make a
career out of it.
What surprised me is just the plethora of
knowledge that you have available to you here.
I mean you have so many great
instructors and so much awesome
equipment to work with. I mean this this
shop gives you everything you need to
be prepared for a job in the industry.
Right off the bat they have using hoists, tire balancers,
alignment machines, scanners.
We work on things as little as oil
changes to complete engine or
transmission rebuilds, water pumps, suspension work, break work, everything in between.
I chose NTC over other schools because
I’ve looked into a couple of them and I
had to move either out of state or there
was not a lot of funding for them.
The most valuable thing that I’ve learned in the program is not just how to fix a vehicle,
but how to diagnose it.
I loved it. I mean it was nothing
what I expected.
The instructors are great, I learned a lot.
Essentially what it gave me is my ticket
in to the dealership.
Not only do they get the opportunity to
learn from a great program here with
some excellent instructors, but that
curriculum is worked closely with the
business and industry as partners.
We have great ties to our local community which
helps make great job opportunities for
our students while they’re students and
after they graduate.
We like to hire NTC graduates as
they’re going through the program
as an apprentice so they can start learning a
lot of their core skills and
implementing what they learn in the
classroom into the field.
We’ve hired several employees that have
graduated from NTC’s Automotive Program
over the years, we’ve had great success.
Automotive doesn’t just mean you’re
going to be a technician for the rest of your life,
you have opportunities to move
your career up.
There is a tremendous demand for automotive technicians,
automotive service writers, good
communicators.
As long as you’re a person that wants to change with technology and never wants to stop learning,
The auto field will keep you on your toes.
Go automotive man, it’s fun, you get to see some really cool stuff.
I think everybody should know that if you’re serious about getting into the field
this is the way in, a two year degree at NTC is your ticket in.
