Automotive Collision Repair Technology
In the Automotive Collision Repair Technology program,
you’ll study all phases of how to reconstruct damaged vehicles. In this exciting program
you will learn how to examine damaged vehicles, estimate the cost of repairs,
remove, repair, and replace body panels, accessories, grilles, trim, and automotive glass.
Refinishing processes and spray painting techniques are taught and students learn the proper use of power and hand tools,
welding processes and techniques. You will also learn the proper way to take care of all parts of a vehicle body
including the interior and glass.
State of the art equipment and precision measuring systems are used in the program.
Students are prepared for entry-level employment in the automotive collision repair field as automotive body technicians,
transportation equipment painters, and insurance appraisers, just to name a few career opportunities.
Many graduates also pursue careers in collision repair management, service, and business ownership.
Further education may lead to additional employment opportunities.
