welcome back to the so playoff channel it’s time for another day at the shop tape video I’ve done one and I know a year to possibly and I know they were pretty popular and you guys liked them kind of see what’s going on around the shop you know throughout a normal normal day I guess so it’s a normal Tuesday getting a little bit late there’s a lot of phone calls and stuff this morning so it’s quarter after 8:00 I’ve got parking lot full of rusty cars see what’s happening like first one well look it we got a Toyota Sienna that has an air conditioning leak or an air conditioning problem AC doesn’t work we’ll leave it at that they only eighty degrees this morning so make sure everything is turned on correctly here and it could lower operation so that’s good sometimes what customers say they have no AC you have to make sure like there’s a blower motor working but we can see we are about 87 degrees Fahrenheit out of the – I do not hear the compressor kick now so 2011 I wouldn’t think there’d be a leak but yeah we know first thing first we’re gonna see if anything crushing on it and the survey says it doesn’t it is dead empty so we likely have a leak know a couple options I could go through we could look for the leak or what I like to do I’ll give a little sniff I’ll make sure the AC works has ability to work that will go through and find the leak and draining down yes you’re supposed to do it nitrogen but I like to make sure the system can work so we’re just going to nuke it a little what does zero I don’t know we’ll just put ten ounces in it you know I just want to make something sure that the compressor can kick on and the system has the ability to function this is way less more than me so yeah they’re about eight or nine ounces and I did hear the compressor kick on so that’s good that’s all I really wanted to make sure let’s just make sure that we have some temperature drop here then we’re going to throw it up in the air and look to see we’re starting to get some temperature drop it’s looking at our pressures over there all right so looks like shit going down high sides going up temperature in the cabins going down so we’re good it’s like come on to this card quick visual inspection you’re fogging out the sniffer I think I see the problem in here I think there is a previous repair so moving the line to run the back view through the heater core lines high pressure and low pressure AC lines and it looks like so I see this oily substance on this and nothing else under here it’s oily it looks like somebody might have put a compression fitting on the AC line at some point look pull this guard now must have been a while these things are pretty rusty they’ll probably break off if we don’t find if they do find and we’ll take a look at see pants repeating impact boom mouths milk whose job is it to milk the mouse that’s why I want to know so we got a little bit of mouse milk up on here that’s your friend of mine gave this to me doesn’t know how good it works it smells like dry erase markers or mouse milk I guess and as that and this looks kind of why you guys breaking it on the video but it’s got film I’m assuming AC fill sniffer that’s go red yes look no further we’re gonna pull refrigerant back out of it that we just put in a I’ll get the proper compression unit so the problem is somebody used a brass one on there and brass and now the mini of them don’t really go well together it creates a little battery and then they get off press it works for a while maybe a year but we’re gonna put in all aluminium one on so make sure mrs. O made it to work today let’s make sure you made it yeah it’s almost nine o’clock alright you made it check out my boy Josh see how he’s making out yeah I’m still a junk Jeep over areas where you’re bad the inner bushing of course the ball joints on it are shot okay it just looks like I’m wiggling but between so typically on these we would do just the ball joint these been done before but once the ball joints go and the bushings start to tear then while she gets the whole shebang so you know you guys can see the inner bushing there but they start separating that point it’s not worth putting in ball joints do the whole thing and you do a tire rotation – Josh yeah okay anytime we do a tire rotation we always rebalance them before you stick them back on there all right get to work boy all right did that sound aggressive plan B here no that’s 5/16 yeah 0.314 is gonna be 5/16 son of a monkey and I didn’t even look to see that they put that right on a bed I don’t have five sixteenths repaired stuff here all right let me figure it out so I couldn’t find a 5/16 compression Union and Stocking where his advance did have an 8 mil it’s slightly larger than 5/16 when you measure this thing it’s just in between five six minutes and eight millimeters so but they’re so stinking close I’m sure we’ll be fine now I did have to straighten the bend out of this line so to speak we’re gonna see if we can’t gingerly massage them in the position in which we need them this kind of taking chop that’s one ha usually they’re pretty well crusty there were them compressions go I can say brass in the aluminium do not get along well good temporary fix but you better be planning on taking that thing off there pretty quick the old man tato so we got this and the whole five one of them square box 1xb complaint of shaking it from those diverse tonight see the axles wasted make all kinds of racket sound like it started to seize up on her going down the road to change at least we can start getting stuff loosen up oh very good Jack’s you guys freak out thirty twelve point loose that’s a good thing ball joint does not look happy give that a good douching one side is one of these I imagine couldn’t see the cotter pin because it was just a clump of rust so I just taken and I can’t see creme take and drill those out so I just reach under with a pair of pliers and turn it to where it’s easy to drill and now we put the cast nut back out or pin back in it [Music] [Music] hey make it out good good did you use the new bolt sir no I didn’t know guns came out good they did okay great oh yeah put the weight on it because of the yeah it’s better look at that bushing how that sucker was that was a lot where she wouldn’t have yeah all right good call yeah so the parts shown up for the Yoda but same time we finished the scion had a couple little things to there for customer so it should work for us we’ll get that thing put it in and then we’re gonna have to bring that beater and to find out where to put the transmission fluid ironic metric fitting uses American wrenches [Music] holy crap birthday happy birthday mother-in-law that birthday trying to show the people the reality I some more at how much have you put in okay look look on the shelves make sure we don’t have any anything else has you kicking around great turtles around new ones but and then if you would we’ve cleaned this off with break clean for me so when you drive it you can make sure it’s not leaking out that axle seal sure all right thanks I do that baby too first we’ll get some of the overflow out here and then this little mover van this one we looked at the other day you did a video on this one wouldn’t start use boxes off crust it out of it so we’re going to take the top of the fuse box in the sink this guy can get out of here there’s a jeep my boy does fixed so we got to take that down through the wheel alignment on it make sure we have something that looks like the one that we have not to do they dimmed well they do come with a relay that shoved all the way over straighten that little guy up all right that’s good hopefully this thing is not a bunch of green pus underneath it that we don’t know yet way opens now oh wait one connect here there to beer that said come with it I just can’t remember yes all of them should stay these things are kind of a piss pot the line up sometimes so our worst fear we do have some green Krusty’s on the bottom that we’re in this block and that’s why it didn’t want it come on hook which sucks the terminal still look decent though we’re gonna take am I taking scrub these out I’m gonna get it lined back up so that way when we put the Box in all the connectors should line hey Josh just pull that Scion back up here where I have part gander over to make sure my fuses are all there that are there right now I just wanna make sure we’re not missing one we are we have an extra one right here that’s 60 amp that one’s extra that might just be a spare [Music] we got an extra 40 amp in this box so let’s just see what those are real quick number 66 it says windshield washer heated our wsw heater that is one that’s missing I think that we call her update on that didn’t they and then the extra 40 amp that we have in this box number 68 is for stud one okay so they’ve got the extra fuse in here for one of these studs I’m gonna pull this out see if this fuse this legit but I thought GM had some kind of some kind of recall where these things burning up or something like that if I remember right they wanted you to disable the fuse so we’re just gonna pull that up out of the box now it feels like it’s in a yeah it’s definitely in terminals somehow ain’t gonna bother working that up I don’t think so freakin corroded I’ll have to look into that but that fuse that is missing is number 66 WSW heater and that’s really sticking in my mind that yeah same thing on the decent one so and then the only other fuse that’s missing in this box is number 65 which is for electronic running boards so I think we ship it next take a moment write a few estimates help mrs. old look up some neighbors talk to a few customers of course I can’t record those interactions so you’ll see the time go by think I was well again yeah this inspection Josh yeah oh good we got okay this is a small problem just a small that’s the worst one there’s one star tonight there are we doing yeah 212 23,000 miles on it yeah it’s a thing looks pretty clean yeah what we hear the tires I wonder it’s a deal Kieko down 33 11 yeah so they’re what eight year old tires yeah they’re the only one that’s doing it yeah I didn’t see it on the other one the other the backs look like we’ve got a lot more tread on them no a suckers definitely don’t like separating let go that’s good new customer that I’ll make them happy 3311 yeah those tires are all the same age original tires yeah they’re all thirty third week of 2011 see anything out tire okay pretty smooth and Jeff hustle a little hitch in your giddyup we’re gonna bringing this beast well five Buick this is one we did fix an airbag sensor and then you know the guy had that noise in the – so I looked at that and it’s the temperature actuator on it appears to be so pull this in if I’m right it’s not making noise right now but you fiddle with the temperature and it just sits there that’s ratcheted thank you I think I’ve just started doing it I think it’s when you move it all the way to colder just sits there jitter give that guy a couple or a quote on a couple tires to match what he had Josh it right through ballot for inspection lovely state of New York you pay with your pass or fail box just turn this on real quick sure you know so the actuator is pretty easy to get to huh hydrating there it’s got that little ro number on there so in case you’re trying to figure that out just change it to hot should be rotating change it back to cold else unplug them moving and not changing the hot I left it unplugged so it could make a noise that’s hot right cold when they turn it off let’s see if it gets the case of the jitters that’s funny how you know it’s not doing it so the other day when I checked it and like I say I don’t you guys remember the video we did with the airbag but you can hear just that’s click-click click-click click-click a good listen we’re just sitting there just chattering away it’s doing it but I’m positive folks trust me I believe on that video there’s a lot of comments in the comment section where guys are saying that they do better had one of these the Sabres has a similar issue and this is the one that they find fouls and I sure as heck when I went to look I checked the mode door actuator on the other side and it was really bad the other day when I brought it in I think I was really making racket I don’t know it’s not like when one of the gears perhaps the worm gear and there’s strip Tyga’s we could pick up the part for what it’s worth I’ve got a brand-new one here from Chevrolet that little down there you guys just resting on the glove box so you gonna be kind of bouncing around we gotta get Josh going on another job yeah not happy failing for his Tigers they told me I’m not very happy with you well tough shit pal that’s why I told him because he wanted me to put a sticker on he was gonna put tires out of this fall and he doesn’t want body’s got a Kleenex mudge out of the throttle body well the little Briggs & Stratton carburetor cleaner not a sponsor so I clean them out and then otherwise when you go to first push on the gas but all the real catchy so this one’s nice move now I think it’s filthy got it all sprayed out clean down we’ll take it for it to make sure our dashboard noise is gone or ship this one oh and it’s Maisie interesting so I had the key on there for a while when I was outside this thing fired right up but no sweat engine light tire pressure door jar airbag ESC and track off those are the lights that are on we’re just curious here no so it is extended crank okay cuz they did say it sir everybody loves gonna hot I won’t fired up in it took right off so let’s see I’ll let this thing get loaded some reason it’s acting a little slow make a difference if you give it any throttle yeah except to think about anyways pull that was warm or six you got the VIN why not Thunder you ask me all these history and pending curtain history engine immobilizer system fault that’s interesting and then of course the classic 12-volt once or Navy s basically staying there’s the engine like time so that’s why the traction control light comes on uh current occupation classification system fault Left Front closing section need to perform zero point calibration so this is what they want us to look at engine light they’re not concerned about the tire pressure light airbag light none of that so we’re gonna look at the engine light interesting with the immobilizer I don’t remember seeing a key security light where it’s secured like this thing no it’s over here blinking that’s awfully let me show this back off there it is right up to that time security ladies not on currently okay I tell you raced the codes oh that’s good to know eat that monitors not done catalyst monitor so not oxygen sensors not done so so they have been doing that all right let’s see what it takes a set of 340 find a the ECM or anything to do with the cam timing cam timings off you know yeah so basically this is where the signal has to make it right behind the club box typically like three seconds to get to me I spent 20 minutes getting the damn box open because the latch is broke I’ll find who’s who I want Chuck can crank that way we can see do we have the signals and then if we do are they in sync the OEM diagram had the wrong freaking connector they were shown connector e8 which is the bottom one which and the wire color was wrong is wrong on the color diagrams and it was wrong on the OEM diagram however in service data and connector pin outs it was cracked its connector e6 and all the wires the only two wire colors that are different Mitchell diagram was wrong the OEM diagram and identificar drawn I think we’re good to go now according to connector pinout which I should have looked at first but freakin half hour into this thing and I’m still trying to find the dang wires so I’m gonna get hooked up here and see who’s here jeez oh wait fine yeah I Robin I’ve got things hooked up here to the ECM I don’t know who to blues obviously crankshaft the red is a camshaft let’s see the red is going to the light blue wire so that is 24 25 pin number 26 let me open up I saved a PDF so number 26 pin 26 it’s supposed to be black and white I haven’t right so let’s see light green is pin 24 that should be our ground that is 25 is red okay that’s BBT sensor that right hand no I got me look here try this again green now let’s see it’s going to be e 6 pin 24 is gonna be green okay and then our crankshaft sensor should be e 6 pin 25 so that’s gonna be the red one side should be our blue traces now when we had I mean just I just gotta verify who those over here okay so our blue trace is crank and then see it doesn’t tell us which which sensors which ok VV t 1 V V T VT 2 which I remember which one we hit code for no it was a whole bunch of typist sometimes it’s trailer wiring diagrams can be a pain in the whoo-hoo because I don’t know all their acronyms ok thank 1 alright let’s see if that’s right bank 1 so DBT 1 black with white need 27 is that where is that our green trace let’s see let me just pop back this bear with me folks skate go so greens not working DBT center one should be pin 27 black with white this is our green trace black-white okay oh that’s one it’s having a problem with that’s the one we’re not seeing here I wonder – change your own Bing Center either way we know the signals not vague into the ECM let’s go find this thing under the hood so I pop the air clear out which is only half ass held in there with pretty much nothing I find this frickin rigmarole this for that Matt Serra Oh somebody’s been doing some metal in there and here’s our camp center back here I found a wire this is shielded wire and I don’t know if they have the shielding attached to the ground Toyota’s pretty good about doing that I bet that’s what it is because I see a buck connector right there yeah here’s the other half of the wire right oops well that’s one person where here’s the other half let’s see yeah there’s the black with white no I wasn’t black with white was that the signal on this one I don’t remember which one they have tied to the ground because they all share the same one I guarantee we opened this up I bet the that ground side is also the shielding well let me see what I can do here to fix this friggin mess I get Josh going on his next project talked to a couple customers the shielding wire is separate it is I was wrong in that it is just in the outer sheath that’s the best I could do for right now the wire is getting pretty short they’ve already got a splice connector on it wherever it was repaired I typically wouldn’t do this but I could not get that stinking connector off that camp sensor so I just repaired it in place crimp and seal heat shrink connector looks like that’s what they used on that repair down there and that one on the blue wire which we didn’t do anything with that I see this has a few is a blue wiring it even has a few little chip marks and I’m gonna see if those are down to bare metal because if they are they’re gonna to be repaired too so I’m going to address that because otherwise that’s just going to come back and haunt somebody now I’m gonna get some of this mess put back together you know maybe tape some things up here so they’re not just I kept tangling around how it was left at the previous shop I guess and then we’re gonna see we should have good signal now assuming that sensor is good okay so you’re all set on this thing gosh where as front two Tigers better than yeah in the back okay so you’re throwing the front on the rear okay alright and you pull the drums starting a leaker yeah the second left first oh okay good yeah that one looks pretty dry yeah thank you great residue build-up on that alright good yeah I think we told them about that I think yes I think we looked at this clunking in the rear end at one point didn’t we yeah yeah I guess this thing’s burning through oil so that’s why you wanted to come out and see if it was leaking or not so yeah all right I got that idling and let’s see they show that the open spot on the crank falls with one of those let’s see if that’s true I’m not using real technical terms here oh you know the one squiggly line lines up with the other squiggly line well that’s what it comes down to anyhow I’m happy other thing thing runs is there any lights on a – there woman there are light what engine light yellow like this tire yellow Josh slept at earlier that one it’s gotta ever breaks but you don’t do after it gets done doing the camera here orbit that other car was all right don’t bang on the alignment on this thing there’s our front there’s our career nice and straight straight enough back to the front so we’re just gonna do a toe justment on this left front wheel I’m gonna straight-up steering wheel this one will be on I’m not gonna chase any brake noise until we fix this problem I mean the back brakes are locked right up to the point they’re streaking all over the rotors you can’t hardly turn them so we’ll fix that if they’re still annoys then we’re gonna chase it down oh okay but nothing down on the tips okay just a little bit there yeah okay well they weren’t they weren’t dripping when you pull them out okay all right and this girl wants you to do the oil change to oil change inspection and fix these brakes oh yeah it won’t snug huh and she doesn’t yeah it’s gotten things toasty we have that saved we can unplug everything we have to do even though this is behind the club box and it’s not really in a saltier area we’re gonna go through and put a little dab of liquid electrical tape on our little poke holes you don’t leave them out where you can see them otherwise you won’t see these little suckers dos tres cuatro we had all theirs although it was a little liquid electrical tape just to cover up our little poke holes it’s a good habit to get into you also free tip for if you buy liquor electrical tape and you find that you use one-eighth of the jar before it hardens up store it upside down once you put the lid back on it and then it will last you last you a long time at least that’s what I’ve discovered somebody told me that and I was like makes sense creates its own little liquid seal I find that it does last a long time I should despite in a smaller container I would end up thrown half this stuff away so it’s kind of messy when the cans new and this game is relatively new okay there now we ought to worry about intrusion but the salt fumes 15 minutes get the glovebox open took me five minutes get it back show the latch is broke so you have to reach up under it with a pick and flicked it together all right so we fix their starting problem got it done go for a little ride here we for Josh’s yeah yeah I ordered him I were to break cap from Napper your to run for both series we had the one that was already here for the what they had they are ahead point Matt and then okay I just want to make sure I’ll go yeah I ordered a brake kit like when he first brought it in this morning or whatever should be pageant orders it’s gonna be a kit number okay yeah so we got the exploded we got new manifold on Silverado needs transmission the hon do there the lock cylinder should be here the key wouldn’t turn anymore so we’ve got like 400 yesterday waiting on a cluster for the Camaro that yard is done Suzuki needs time and chains and other things the Buick we did the Scion we did Subaru needs a time about this cars not that car is done all right well good cheap five thousand things to do tomorrow to the next day or the next day oh yeah and this one’s done alright we’re making progress [Music] oh we’re at the other taxi companies turf oh but I’ll start air force its hometown taxi sit over there all right folks that’s it Josh finish up see Arby’s taking that for a test render the oil change brakes on that so got a pile of things left but that’s just the way it is everything that was scheduled for today is done which is good I hope the video kind of fit together somewhat seamlessly I was just trying to get little tidbits of what I do throughout the day this is a pretty normal lower key date one of the absolute chaos got to see what I was doing a little bit of that a little bit of what Josh is doing unfortunately I can’t record you know customer interactions which takes up a fair amount of my day doing estimates you know seeing what they want
